Washburn Comfort G-mini 55 Koa Acoustic Guitar

£345.00

Washburn Comfort Series G-Mini 55 Koa — 7/8 Size Grand Auditorium

Comes with a Padded soft case

This is a small guitar built with full-size intentions. At 7/8 scale with a 23¼" neck, the G-Mini 55 is genuinely portable — it fits in the back of a car, on a train, or in the corner of a spare room where a dreadnought would be a nuisance. What it doesn't do is sound like a compromise. The reduced body still projects with real authority and a musicality that catches most players off guard when they first pick one up.

Koa top, back and sides throughout. It's a wood that starts out bright and focused and sweetens with playing time, developing the warmth and midrange complexity that makes it so sought after — and it's visually stunning, with a figure and depth that the satin finish shows off rather than glossing over.

The Comfort series ergonomics are what set it apart. A rounded-over "Binding Relief" runs under your forearm so there's no hard edge digging in, and the "Comfort Carve-Away" at the upper shoulder opens up access to the top frets in a way most acoustics simply don't allow. Combined with the reduced body size, it's an unusually easy guitar to spend hours with.

The detailing is well above what you'd expect at this size. Walnut binding, an ebony bridge, a maple Washburn logo inlaid into the headstock, gold tuners with ebonite buttons, and a parquet rosette in alternating maple and mahogany. The satin mahogany neck carries a two-way truss rod and a laurel fingerboard, with a Graph Tech NuBone nut — a proper upgrade over standard plastic, and one that pays off in tuning stability and string return.

An excellent recording guitar, an excellent travel guitar, and a very hard one to put back on the wall.
